valuing mistakes

It is not crazy.

One of the greatest things about homeschooling my daughter was realizing that she could fail at something or try something and realize it was not for her and not be penalized as kids in school would be.  A homeschooler tries an online class and it just isn't a go, parents tackle it another way.  Unschoolers don't even get into these categories at all.

And our schools are fundamentally misdesigned if kids cannot be wrong and make mistakes without penalty: it limits their learning.

Please consider submitting something about homeschooling to the Carnival of Homeschooling. If you are interested, here are the instructions.

If this week is bad for you, you are always welcome to submit to future carnivals.

If a "blog carnival" is a new term, this might help.

Here is the archive of previous carnivals

Participating in a blog carnvial is a good way to get more exposure for your blog.

Thank you for your consideration.
