This article about passive homes in Europe reminds me a lot about unschooling: if passive-solar houses are eclectic and teach-at-home lite, then unschooling may be like these passive homes that require no heat at all. Like unschooling, these homes seem impossible to many people because they so deeply call into question accepted viewpoints. Unschooling is like that: people want to know where the heater is or, more exactly, where the teaching is and its not there.
