UPDATE, 5-18-13: Map was considered so erroneous that Wikipedia has removed it and for now the homeschooling status tables below are the best source of good information.

Homeschoolers in the US may need to think about how they see the legality of homeschooling in the US, which this map places in the yellow camp. (see color code explained below). The color-coding may derive from the Homeschooling status tables on the Homeschooling international status and statistics page. And the talk pages state that there are known errors.

A Map of the Legality of Home schooling around the world. Based off of Image:BlankMap-World6.svg. Green is legal, yellow is legal in most political subdivisions but not all or is practiced, but legality is disputed. Red is illegal or unlawful. Orange is generally considered illegal, but untested legally.
